Harley Davidson revealed ‘Project Live Wire’ – 0-100 kmph under 4 seconds and 85 km range on single charge

Harley Davidson is going to take the two wheeler making to new heights and the new concept from the manufacturer is making biking lovers go mad. The brand new ‘Livewire’ electric two wheeler concept is responsible for all the buzz over web from past few days and the concept is has been launched officially today. There is no surprise in saying that Majority of the people around the globe are familiar with the name ‘Harley Davidson’. The portfolio of the manufacturer is very strong and each of Harley’s models have their own fan base. Now, the manufacturer has come up with their first ever electric motor cycle model. The new concept has been named as ‘Project Live Wire’ and some exclusive initiatives have been planned by Harley Davidson for pre promotion of the model prior to the official debut of the production ready form. The prototype revealed today is going to be displayed in all major cities including New York from 24th of this month. Former customers of the brand as well as other Harley Davidson fans will get a chance to test ride the Live Wire concept.

The first look of the electric concept has been revealed already and it seems to be a perfect Harley Davidson breed undoubtedly. The amazing style of the concept bike has made us forget about the lack of exhaust pipe on the rear. Engine sound plays significant role for the Harley Davidson two wheeler models but we have to realize that the upcoming electric concept cannot produce the signature sound of a oil burning engine. However, Live Wire has its own sound which resembles that of a jet plane and the respective teaser video of the Project Live Wire which gives us a hint of the engine sound of the bike can be viewed here

Very few specs of the electric concept have been revealed so far as Harley Davidson is likely to keep the configuration a secret till the production ready form of the bike is made. As per the information, Live Wire concept carries a massive battery pack that weighs around 113 kilograms and it is expected to be having capacity of around 10 kWh. The respective battery pack takes around 3.5 hours for a full charge when connected to a 220 V socket. Electric motor included in the concept is likely to produce around 74 bhp power at the peak along with 70.5 NM of torque. It is capable of attaining 100 kmph speed from rest within just 4 seconds only which is almost impossible for any other electric two wheeler. On a single charge, Live Wire promises around 85 kilometers of journey which is pretty impressive.
