JAGAN'S CREDIBILITY COMING DOWN

Why YSRCP Unable To Attract More People For Its Meetings

YSRCP was once considered a superior fighter in Seemandhra giving stiff competition to TDP. But the recent meetings by his party leaders are not attracting more people.

Hyderabad: YS Jagan has become very famous due to his ability to retain the party in tact even during the period of his jail life for a period of 16 months in connection with the quid pro quo cases where CBI investigation is going on.

Jagan and his YSRCP party were believed to be giving a tough fight to TDP and Naidu particularly in the Seemandhra region. But as the dates of polling are coming closer, the participation of people in party public meetings is drastically coming down. The latest public meeting by the Hon. President of YSRCP Smt. Vijayamma got very poor response.

Split of AP to form Telangana gave Jagan an opportunity to project himself as an advocate for United AP. But the subsequent incidents made his party lesser attractive. The many congress leaders (till now enjoying facilities from congress) suddenly changed their loyalty. They came out and tried to join other parties in Seemandhra (like TDP & YSRCP specifically).

Many defectors from congress found place in YSRCP and they also got tickets for the present elections as well. Despite best strategies played by Jagan, his party has not been able to maintain the initial overwhelming response from the people it enjoyed during earlier days of campaign.

Entry of defectors from Congress made the existing leaders unhappy and hence their contribution in making these public meetings grand success naturally gets lower.

Jagan’s constant criticism against TDP and its chief can be considered as a reason for the reduced patronage to Jagan’s party.

Jagan has not been able to mention his plan of action as to how he is going to achieve the various targets that he is projecting for himself as the new government going to be in place.

Jagan has been describing the so called welfare schemes by YSR as the party agenda whereas those schemes were started on behalf of congress (the party to which YSR belonged).

Action against Jagan by various investigating agencies and ED are still continuing affecting the Jagan’s claim of innocence in the cases against him.

The recent false affidavit submitted by Jagan to election commission also affected his credibility to large extent.

Jagan’s silence on congress (though congress is believed as the factor responsible for AP division) also made many of the Seemandhra people become angry on Jagan and his party.
