Elections 2014: Possible Poll Alliance in AP between BJP and Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena?

It is learnt that BJP is trying for alliance with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party. It is a known fact that Bharatiya Janata Party is not strong in Andhra Pradesh. Though the party supported formation of Telangana state, it is not going to help the party much. In present situations, the party cannot even contest in Seemandhra as the people there are very angry with the parties that supported division of state.

Vijayawada: BJP leaders are aware of this and are making efforts for an alliance with Jana Sena. On the other side, alliance with TDP is almost finalized and it has to be made official.

BJP and TDP are discussing seat adjustments. Nara Chandrababu Naidu wants an alliance with BJP and BJP leader Prakash Javadekar is in Hyderabad since two days to finalize this matter. On the other hand TDP leaders in Telangana region are not ready for alliance with TDP and BJP high command is trying to make them agree. Presently BJP wants to contest for 64 assembly, 9 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana and 6 Lok Sabha and 25 Assembly seats in Andhra region. But if there is alliance with Jana Sena, the numbers may change. A decision will be made on this on 19th of this month in BJP parliamentary board meeting.

BJP leaders are confident that if there is alliance with Pawan Kalyan, they can attract the young voters. Venkaiah Naidu who criticized Pawan when he announced that he will enter politics, is now inviting the support of Pawan.

Pawan Kalyan announced his party Jana Sena with the slogan ‘Congress Hatao, Desh Bachao’. He also said at the launching that he is ready to work with any other party except Congress. This can be taken as indication that he is ready to work with BJP. Pawan is already in New Delhi and took the appointment to meet prime minister Candidate Narendra Modi.

On the other hand TDP is also trying to woo Pawan Kalyan as he has great popularity in both Andhra and Telangana regions. Congress on the other hand is hoping the Chiranjeevi, Pawan kalyan’s brother will be able to charm the voters. Pawan was against the decision of merging Praja Rajyam Party with congress which led to differences between the two brothers. Now, one of the brothers is working for Congress and the other wants complete wipe out of the party from the state.
