BlackBerry Classic aka Q20 Coming in November, 2014 – CEO John Chen

CEO of BlackBerry said in an interview that BlackBerry Q20 which was announced at MWC 2014 will now be called BlackBerry Classic. Classic will be launched in November this year. It will feature QWERTY keypad and will come with 3.5 inch display. BlackBerry 10 operating system.

Washington: At Mobile World Congress 2014, BlackBerry announced two of its new smartphones. One of them was BlackBerry Z3 and the other is BlackBerry Q20. It was informed that BlackBerry Q20 will come with QWERTY keypad.

According to latest information, BlackBerry Q20 will now be called BlackBerry Classic. This was confirmed by CEO John Chen who was talking to USA Today. BlackBerry Classic will be released in market in November. Specifications of the handset are not yet revealed by the company. It is however expected that it will feature multimedia feature and will allow internet access and web browsing. The handset is going to offer trackpad and the design of the handset will be similar to the Bold line-up of devices.

BlackBerry is likely to launch more smartphones that will feature QWERTY keypad. These can be expected to be released in the marekt in the coming one and half year.

Specific launching date of BlackBerry Classic and also the pricing details are revealed. BlackBerry Z3 which was announced alongside Q20 was announced to come with a price tag of $200. Four popular smartphone categories of the company are likely to be revived in the coming days. These categories are high-end, prestige, classic and affordable.

BlackBerry Classic comes with QWERTY keypad and will sport 3.5 inch touchscreen, which is the normal screen size of BlackBerry handsets. There will be touchpad that is built in. The handset is likely to come up with features that were popular with the fans of BlackBerry.

The launching of BlackBerry Classic in November however seems to be very far away. In these six months time, there will be many new android as well as Windows operating system phones. The smartphones needs to offer some really interesting features to tempt the consumers to wait for the phone to be released.

BlackBerry Classic will come loaded with BB10 operating system. Several handsets were released with this operating system till now that includes BlackBerry Q10 and Z30 smartphones.
