Rumours about Yamaha launching a 3.0 Version of the extreme performer, R15 in the Indian market have created a lot of buzz over internet from past few weeks. Finally, sources revealed that there is not going to be anything such as 3.0 Version R15 from Yamaha anywhere in near future and instead, Yamaha is reported to be adding four new colours to the portfolio of the current gen R15. Though the 2.0 Version of R15 is one of the most reputed two wheelers in 150 CC segment currently, Yamaha is looking forward to have a breakthrough straight away this year.

Yamaha R15 is hot favourite for young buyers of India and the exclusive design of the bike has a huge fan base in the country. Adding more colours to the model will help the manufacturer to achieve more sale volume this year comparatively than the former. All the features and specifications of the model remains unchanged except the paint job. Yamaha continues with the same 150 CC 4 stroke SOHC four valve engine with hydraulic liquid cooling system. Both the front as well as rear wheels gets the same set of disk brakes offered so far.

The racing DNA, sporty look and superior technology have been synonymous with the R15 which was graded up to R15 V2.0 in 2011.
