Pakistan played a high voltage game against Australia : Made straight forward victory with amazing target

Mirpur: Pakistan won over Australia in today’s T-20 match of World Cup tournament. This could be a big win and relief for Pakistan after experiencing defeat from India. Pakistan won by 16 runs. It made a big target of 191 runs in the first innings. Australia is struggled from initial phase onwards. However it has managed to score well creating panic for some time in Pak players, but yet could not manage to chase target. Australia could make only 175 runs in 20 overs.

In Pak’s game, Akmal brothers played key role with their superb batting. Kamran Akmal made 31 runs in 31 balls (4 fours) and Umar Akmal made 94 runs in 70 balls (9 fours and 4 sixes). As a result, Pak could set heavy target of 191 runs before Ausis for 5 wickets. Akmal’s damage has occurred to the spell of all bowlers. Bollinger has shown good gigure of 28 runs for 1 wicket in 4 overs.

With heavy expectations, Australian openers have started the second innings. Star opener and biggest hope David Warner lost his wicket in first over itself. Watson too went to pavilion without making even double digit score. Finch and Maxwell played a bit slow with falling run rate. Then they started counter attacking with big shots. Maxwell made half century in just 18 balls. On the other side Finch made 65 runs in 54 balls with 7 fours and 1 sixer. Maxwell hit 74 runs in just 33 balls.

When match was turning towards Aussie side, Finch and Maxwell went to pavilion. Their huge partnership was broken at score 126 and match turned to be interesting. Soon one by one Aussie batsmen went to pavilion without hitting any shots. As a result, Australia could make only 175 runs. It was in the last 3 overs, Pakistan seemed to dominate the game with good bowling. But still, appreciations flew to sky on new batsmen Finch and Maxwell.
