IIT Patna Offering M. Tech Programme: Apply before 22^nd April 2014

IIT Patna is offering M. Tech (Master of Technology) course for the academic year 2014. Online registration will start from 1^st April 2014 and ends on 22^nd April 2014. Candidates will be selected based on GATE Score and personal Interview.

Patna: IIT Patna is offering M. Tech (Master of Technology) course for the academic year 2014. Candidates who are interested to do M. Tech course through IIT Patna need to visit the official website of IIT Patna as applications for this programme need to send to the institute through online. Interested candidates need to apply till 22^nd April 2014. Before filling the application form it is essential to read the instructions carefully and know the eligibility criteria for this course.

As per the notification released, completion of bachelor’s degree in M. Sc or Technology or Engineering or equivalent professional degrees such as AMIE along with valid GATE Score is eligible to apply for this course. Along with education qualification, notification also clearly mentioned about the marks to be obtained in the qualifying examination. General category candidates and OBC category candidates should attain minimum 60 % marks and SC / ST candidates should attain 55 % of marks.

After successful submission of online application form candidates need to take the print out of the application form. This print out copy along with other necessary documents such as educational qualification marks sheets, certificates etc to be send to the Patna IIT Assistant Registrar. Address provided for this purpose is Assistant Registrar Academic, Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Patliputra Colony Patna 800 013, Bihar. Along with the required documents candidates should also need to send the Demand Draft.

Demand draft should be drawn for Rs.300 by general category candidates and Rs.150 by SC / ST/ Female / PD candidates. It should be drawn against any nationalised bank in favour of IIT Patna payable at Patna. At the time of sending the application form candidates need to mention as Application for M. Tech Admission in ‘Name of the Specialization’ at the top of envelope.

Specializations offering by IIT Patna are Material Sciences and Engineering, Civil & Infrastructure Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Communication Systems Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Nano Science & Technology, Mathematics & Computing and Mechatroncis. Online submission process will start from 1^st April 2014. Web link will remain open till 22^nd April 2014. Last date to receive the application forms by the institution is 29^th April 2014. Candidates will be selected based in the GATE score and personal interview. Interview will be held in engineering, basic science and other relevant areas.
