HP has just launched a dual SIM calling budget tablet in India, the Slate 7 VoiceTab for Rs 16,990 and the tablet gets a good set of specifications for the price it commands. Here’s a list of its specifications:

New Delhi: HP, the global giant in personal computing is witnessing a drop in sales in the laptop and personal computer department courtesy of the rise of the tablets and smartphones. But it has started to account for change and has started launching a slew of tablets. The latest device to join the stable is a the HP Slate 7 VoiceTabwhich has just been launched for Rs 16,990 in the country and it surely provides a decent set of specifications for the price. Let us take a look at the specifications of the voice calling tablet.

  • It comes with a 7 inch IPS display unit which has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
  • It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and there is no confirmation regarding the update schedule of the device but we wouldn’t get our hopes too high for a budget tablet.
  • Under the hood of the tablet will be a 1.2 GHz quad-core Marvell PXA1088 processor which will be complemented by a 1GB RAM for multitasking.

  • Giving it the juice will be a 4,100 mAh battery that will last for about 6-7 hours of continuous usage in real world conditions.
