Pakistan Civil Awards presented to Misbah-ul-Haq and Malala Yousafzai

23.03.2014: Pakistan Civil Awards presented to Misbah-ul-Haq, Malala Yousafzai and other 103 persons. These awards were presented at a ceremony of the celebrations of Pakistan day. Award ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr. These awards were presented for delivering the services to the nation. In total 115 awards were presented to the people. Out of which 10 awards were approved as special cases and 105 awards were approved by the President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain.

23.03.2014: First elected Prime Minister of Spain, Adolfo Suarez, Passed Away at the age of 81 years. He died due to Alzheimer’s disease. After decades of dictatorship rule in Spain, he led the Spain to democracy. In 1975, after the death of General Francisco Franco, he was elected as Prime Minister of Spain.

Third Women to contest from Ghaziabad is Shazia Ilmi of AAP

23.03.2014: Third Women to contest from Ghaziabad is Shazia Ilmi of AAP. First women MP from Ghaziabad is Kamla Choudhary who belongs to Congress. She became MP in 1962. Second won to contest from this place is Reeta Singh in 1996. She also belongs to the congress party. She lost in that election.

23.03.2014: In a group 2 League matches, Pakistan defeated Australia by 16 runs at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Pakistan made 191 runs in 20 over’s as against this score Australia made only 175 runs and all the wickets were fall down in 20 over’s.

New gully Channel was discovered on the surface of Mars by NASA

23.03.2014: New gully Channel was discovered on the surface of Mars by NASA. It has formed within the last 3 years. This was discovered after comparing the images taken by HiRISE (High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment) in November 2010 and the image taken in 2013. It is situated on the southern highlands of Mars. As per the information available from Space.com, this feature was not seen in the photo taken on 5th November 2010.

23.03.2014: Ebola Virus causing haemorrhagic fever detected in Guinea. Nearly 80 persons were suffering with this Ebola virus. This is the first time it was detected in human beings. Out of 80 persons, 59 people were dyeing who belongs to Libera and Sierra Leone.

AQUATM Started in Mumbai for Water: Price per Litre is Rs.1

23.03.2014: Vandana Foundation in Mumbai had started an ATM to provide water to the people. Price of one litre is Rs.1. This ATM is having the capacity to provide 1000 litres per day. Vandana Group started this ATM along with Aquakraft, a non profit group. This ATM is located at Mankhurd. At this place people are suffering with water problem. Prepaid cards are to be used to have this water.

APTDC developed Bhavani Island in AP as new Adventure sports

23.03.2014: With the partnership of Freak-out Adventure Solutions (Bangalore based company) APTDC (Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation) developed Bhavani Island in Andhra Pradesh as new Adventure sports place. Activities conducting at this place are water roller, vine traverse techniques, a climbing wall, and high rope activities between trees in the Island. For the renovation and repairs cost incurred was Rs.1 crore.
