New Delhi: We are going to compare the latest Motorola Moto G with the Sony Xperia L. Both the smartphones comes in a similar price tag. Lets make them face each other and see whether the new moto g deserve to be at top?

General: Motorola Moto G is a dual sim GSM + GSM handset whereas the Sony Xperia L is a single sim smartphone. People are now making a habit of keeping to SIM’s in their smartphone.

Design: The Sony Xperia L comes with a dimension of 128.69 x 65 x 9.69 mm and weighs 137g whereas the new Motorola Moto G comes with a 129.9 x 65.9 x 11.6 mm dimensions and weighs 143g.

Operating System: Sony Xperia L runs on android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is now pretty old while Motorola Moto G runs on the latest Android version 4.3 Jelly Bean which can be upgraded to 4.4.2 Kitkat. Moto G is a clear winner.

CPU: Sony Xperia L is powered by a 1 Ghz Dual core processor while Motorola Moto G has a powerful 1.2 Ghz quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor which makes it a winner.

Display: Sony Xperia L sports a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and the Motorola Moto G features 4.5 inches display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.

Storage: Sony Xperia L comes with an internal memory of 8 GB with an expandibility of 32GB wheras the Motorola Moto G has an internal memory of 16GB and cannot be further expanded which can be a major disadvantage for users in search of high storage in their smartphones.

Camera: Sony Xperia L is mounted with a 8MP camera and Motorola Moto G has a 5MP camera. Sony Xperia L has a 0.3 VGA front camera while Motorola Moto G has 1.3MP front camera for video calling. Both of the handset supports 720p video recording but with higher rear camera, Xperia L wins the race.

Battery: Xperia L has a 1750 mAh battery while the Moto G is packed with 2070 mAh battery which promises better performance that the Xperia’s L.

Verdict: The price of both the handset are almost same, but if ignoring the fact of no expandibility in Moto G, its a far better option than Xperia L, with quadcore processor, decent camera, high in build, latest OS up gradable to Kitkat.
