US Government To Spy On Its Own People: Super Computer Being Developed

Dan Brown’s Digital Fortress seem to become a reality. The novel revolves around a story that says that US has got a super-computer that spies by decrypting every email, data transfer made across the digital media all over the world. But now, with Edward Snowden leaking out the NSA documents, US seem to make this ‘so called’digital fortress kind of thing implemented.

New Delhi: Edward Snowden, a former contractor of NSA leaking out the documents creating the sense of threat for common man’s privacy. The leaked documents of NSA are based on the US government’s initiative of a spying program for collecting the internet communication and phone records of common people.

The Washington Post on Thursday says that the National Security Agency of US, is in a process of developing a computer that can break the encryption of other nation’s spy based programs and the common public’s bank accounts. Further the newspaper claims, that the development program of such a computer is named as “Penetrating Hard Targets” and worth of $79.7 million.

Edward Snowden who’s been charged for espionage by US is living in Russia. The leaked documents were collected by him when he was working in the National Security Agency. The leaked documents have raised a question of interest that the US government is showing in collecting the information. Lot of cases have been filed in the US courts.

While a federal judge had to say that the collecting information of public’s phone conversation records is lawful last week, another judge back in December raised a question on the constitutionality of this program from NSA. The Supreme Court appears to hear the case in the near future.

If a computer of such kind is developed, every phone call of an American citizen would be getting heard by someone in somewhere for the security reasons at any given time as they say.
