02.08.2015: Founder of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts @ Co, an investment firm Mr. Jerome Kohlberg Jr passed away at the age of 90. He breathed his last in his residence in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

Ban on Shahrukh Khan’s Entry to Wankhede Stadium Lifted

02.08.2015: Mumbai Cricket Association lifted the ban on entry of Shahrukh Khan into Wankhede Stadium. He was banned for five years into MCA premises in 2012 as he was involved in altercation with officials of MCA.

India Wins Silver Medal World Archery Championship

02.08.2015: India won another medal in World Archery Championship. The women’s team that consists Deepika Kumari, Lakshmi Rani and Rimit won the silver medal by defeating Russia team. This is the second medal for India in this world championship event. Rajat Chouhan won a silver medal.

02.08.2015: International Olympic Committee approved the inclusion of South Sudan into the Olympic family. South Sudan is the 206th member in the Olympic family. The decision of the country drew lour round of applause. The South Sudan official moved and some of them were tears.

02.07.2015: International Friendship Day is celebrated on first Sunday of August and the day falls on 2nd August this year. The day was first proposed in 1958.

163 Indian Fishermen Released from Pakistan Jail

02.07.2015: As a goodwill gesture, the Pakistan government released 163 Indian fishermen from Karachi jail. This is following an understanding between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif. Both the countries decided to release fishermen in jails and also their boats within 15 days.
