23.04.2015: Sharukh khan is honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award 2015 for his performance in the Bollywood movie Happy New Year. The event was held in Mumbai. Others who won the awards are Rajkummar Rao for Citylights, Huma Qureshi for Dedb Ishiqya and Actress Jayaprada.

23.04.2015: UN Women named Thomas Bach, President of International Olympic Committee as ambassador of HeForShe campaign. The campaign was launched in 2014. The campaign aims to engage one billion boys and men to advocate for women’s rights. It motivates them to join the fight and work for gender equality in the world.

Masrat Alam Bhat Shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail

23.04.2015: Masrat Alam Bhat, the separatist leader is shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail. Jammu and Kashmir government slapped Public Safety Act on him. Under Public Safety Act, the government can detain a person for a minimum of six months without trial.

Zimbabwe Cricket Team to tour Pakistan

23.04.2015: Zimbabwe cricket team is likely to tour Pakistan. Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that Zimbabwe team is going to tour their country. Zimbabwe is going to be the first country to tour Pakistan since 2009. Militants teamed Sri Lanka team that was on tour of Pakistan in 2009. Zimbabwe is going to play either five or three ODIs or two T20 matches.

Three Day Global Exhibition on Services Launched

23.04.2015: Three day global exhibition on services is inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. More than forty countries are going to participate in the exhibition. India’s strength in the service sector will be showcased at the exhibition and also provide platform to explore business opportunities. India’s share in global service sector is only 3 percent.

Government Launched Call to Action for TB Free India Campaign

23.04.2015: Government of India launched Call to Action for TB free India campaign to make country TB free in the coming five years. The campaign is launched by Health Minister J P Nadda. A toll free helpline number will be launched and the needy people can make a missed call to this number to connect them with health programme against the disease.
