Anil Kumble to be Inducted into ICC Hall of Fame

19.2.2015: Former leg spinner Anil Kumble is soon going to be inducted into ICC Hall of Fame. This was announced by International Cricket Council. With his induction the members in ICC hall of Fame is going to be 77. Other Indian cricket players who are already in Hall of Fame are Bishan Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar. Anil Kumble is present ICIC cricket committee chairman. He played crucial role in many matches and created record as the third bowler to take highest number of wickets. He also took 10 wickets in a test match against Pakistan in New Delhi in 1999.

Tapan Mishra Takes Charge as Director, Space Application Center, ISRO

19.2.2015: Tapan Mishra has taken charge as Director of Space application Center, ISRO. He succeeded AS Kiran Kumar who is now appointed as ISRO Chairman. Mishra started his career as digital hardware engineer in SAC in 1984 and he became the director of the same now.

Another Helicopter Manufacturing Unit of HAL in Karnataka

19.2.2015: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is going to set up a Green Filed plant in Tumukuru district in Karnataka. According to HAL chairman T Suvarna Raju, they have already acquired 610 acres land to set up the unit and the construction will begin in the middle of 2015. Production will start from 2017 April and the capacity of the unit is 60 helicopters per annum.

Government of India Launched eBiz portal

19.2.2015: Central government of India launched Government to business G2B single window business portal. This was formally launched by central minister Arun Jaitley. It is now possible to avail eleven services on this eBiz portal. The services are name availability, director identification number, certificate of incorporation, commencement of business, Issue of PAN, issue of TAN, Advanced Foreign Remittance, Foreign Collaboration General permission Route, Employer registration and issue of explosive license.

Manasarovar Yatra in New Route Commences on June 8

19.2.2015: Minister of external affairs Sushma Swaraj informed that this year Kailash Manasarovar Yatra through new route begins on June 8. Till now the Yatra was through Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and it was very difficult. Only young and healthy person could travels through that route. But this year the pilgrims can go through Nathula Pass and reach Mount Manasarovar by car.
