Andhra Pradesh EAMCET 2015 is on 10th May: ECET Date is May 14 and ICET will be on May 16

With Telangana government announcing to conduct EAMCET 2015 separately, Andhra Pradesh government also decided to make arrangements for holding the entrance test separately. This was announced by Andhra Pradesh human resource minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. He revealed the details of other common entrance tests also to the media.

Vijayawada: EAMCET 2015 will be held in Andhra Pradesh on May 10th. JNTU Kakinada will be given the responsibility of EAMCET exam. EAMCET 2015 schedule will be released in two to three days. The schedule will have the details of EAMCET applications submission, objection, issue of halls tickets and so on.

The minister also revealed the details of other common entrance tests along with EAMCET 2015. There are 306 private and 17 government engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh and 1.65 lakh seats are available. Among these 1,16,732 seats will be filled under convener quota. It is expected that 1,47,000 will appear for engineering and 58,000 for medical entrance test. In total 2,05,000 will appear for the exam.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao also revealed that keeping in view the future of students, the government is bringing more prestigious engineering colleges to Andhra Pradesh. Based on the infrastructure, lecturers and the admissions, engineering colleges will be divided as A, B and C grades from the academic year 2016 – 17.

For the first time, EAMCET 2015 will be conducted in both online and offline modes. JEE, GATE and many other entrance tests of various private universities conduct entrance tests in online mode. This method will increase awareness of students. EAMCET 2015 online exam will be conducted on May 10th only. The details of online slots will be revealed in EAMCET notification.

Keeping in view the national level entrance tests, dates of various common entrance tests in Andhra Pradesh are decided. Here are the dates of various common entrance tests

  • ICET – May 16th
  • ECET – May 14
  • EDCET – May 28
  • LAWCET/PGLCET – May 30
  • PGCET – May 25
  • PCET – May 14

As announced earlier, DSC written exams will be conducted from May 9th to 12th. Pratibha awards will be given to students who scored well in last academic year. The awards will be given away on 27th February at Tirupati.

There is chance that Sai Babu will be appointed as EAMCET convener as he has the experience of conducted ICET earlier. Details of other common entrance tests and their conveners will be announced in a couple of days.
