Samsung Sends Invites to Tuesday, January 6th Event in Mumbai: Galaxy A3, A5 Smartphone Launch in India Expected

Samsung is soon going to launch Galaxy A3 and A5 smartphones for the Indian market. Samsung is holding on event on January 6 in Mumbai and invites are also sent for the event. It is however not confirmed what will be launched tomorrow. The event said ‘Exclusive preview of the latest innovations that bring a confluence of style and technology’.

Mumbai: Samsung galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are expected to be launched in India tomorrow as is hinted by the firm. The devices were launched globally in November, 2014.

Samsung Galaxy A5 comes with 5 inch display and the type of display is HD Super AMOLED. Display resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor and is paired with 2 GB RAM. Internal storage is 16 GB. The handset supports micro SD card for expansion of memory up to 64 GB. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and micro SUB connectivity. Another attraction of the handset is 13 megapixel camera at rear and a 5 megapixel camera at front. It comes packed with 2300 mAh battery that is claimed to give 24 hours backup. Physical measurements of A5 are 139.3 x 69.7 x 6.7 mm and weight is 123 grams.

Samsung Galaxy A3 sports 4.5 inch display and the resolution is 960 x 45 pixels. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor. The processor is paired with 1 GB RAM. It has 8 GB of internal storage and extra storage can be added up to 64 GB via micro SD. There is 8 megapixel primary camera and 5 megapixel secondary camera at rear and front. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth and micro USB connectivity. It comes packed with 1900 mAh battery. It is only 86.9 mm thick. Physical dimensions are 130.1 x 65.5 x 6.9 mm and it weighs only 110.3 grams.

Common specifications of Samsung Galaxy A5 and A3 smartphones are 4G LTE connectivity support, Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system and social networking capabilities. These handsets will be offered in midnight black, soft pink, champagne gold, pearl white and platinum silver color options.

Both the handsets were supposed to be made available in select markets in November itself but had supply issues. It was first launched in India and then followed to other markets.
