Honda Civic type R Spotted Again, Launch at Geneva Motor Show? – Takes on Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf GTI

The Japanese automotive giant Honda has been testing the brand new edition of Civic which is likely to be suffixed into the global market as Type R from past few months. The manufacturer has been alluring car enthusiasts across the globe with the test mules of the model and another test mule of the same has been spotted recently wearing heavy camouflage. As per the information, Honda is likely to launch the new Civic by the end of this year.

Civic R Type is going to be one of the most awaited launches this year and the official debut could be made at this year’s Geneva Motor Show which will be held in the month of March. We can expect a wide number of changes in the Civic Type R when compared with the standard edition of the same. Honda has revealed two concepts of the series already but the production ready variants of the both may have a number of changes. An enthusiast has spotted another test mule of the same recently and revealed a set of spy images of the same over web. As we could observe from the spy images, the front fascia of the Civic Type R is going to get a set of new fog lights along with a set of day time running LED strips.

Rear end of the Civic Type R gets a brand new Wing with integrated 3rd tail light. Honda has already revealed in the past about the engine and transmission of the model. Civic R Type gets powered with a 2.0 litre four cylinder turbo charged diesel engine that is capable of generating around 280 HP power at the peak. The quad exhaust system of the vehicle describes the aggression of the model. Civic Type R also comes with some of the exclusive features such as steering mounted control buttons, sport friendly suspension system and adaptive damper system. There is no information about the price of Civic R Type so far.
