Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS Spotted in Indonesia – Semi faired NS to tackle Yamaha R15, R25, KTM Duke 200 and Hero Karizma

The native Indian automotive giant Bajaj has already launched a bunch full of variants of the Pulsar series in the domestic market as well as in some other markets globally. The manufacturer is working on the next gen Pulsar 200SS from past few months but to the surprise of all, a new trim of the bike has come into picture which is completely a stranger for us. As per the spy images, the bike might be 200 AS and we must wait to find out.

As per the information, a fully built unit of Bajaj Pulsar 200 has been spied in Indonesia which may get dubbed into the market as 200 AS where AS stands for ‘Adventure Sports’. The manufacturer has never moved a lip about the launch of a trim of Pulsar 200 with suffix ‘AS’ ever and thus it is quite surprising for biking enthusiasts in general. The respective unit spied was wearing a combination of blue and black paint shades and it’s quite trendier than all the other variants of the Pulsar series launched so far. It wears an exclusively new fairing on the petrol tank and we can easily notice some other visual tweaks at the first glance itself.

We cannot expect any alterations to the engine and transmission mechanism of the bike as it may not be any upgrade or facelift edition most probably. There is also chance for the bike being just a customized unit by some highly skilled technician of the country. If that is the case, we don’t need to talk about it anymore. In case if it is going to be the 200AS, we can expect it to get powered with a 199.5 CC single cylinder liquid cooled engine that is capable of producing around 23.52 PS power at the peak along with 18.3 Nm of torque. Engine comes mated to a six speed transmission gear box by default and performance specs might be as same as that of 200NS.
