Comparison of Obi Alligator S454 and Lava Iris X1 8 GB Variant
Indian mobile manufacturers are now concentrating on low mid range smartphone and to increase their market share in this category, they are offering smartphones with screen size less than 4.5 inches and the price of these phones is under Rs. 10,000. Obi Alligator S454 is one of such handset and it was launched in November in India with a price tag of Rs. 6,450. Lava Iris X1 8 GB variant was launched in August and here is the comparison of specifications of these two smartphones.
Mumbai: Obi Alligator S454 and Lava Iris X1 smartphones come with 4.5 inches screen size. Screen resolution of Alligator is 540 x 960 pixels and that of X1 is 480 x 854 pixels. Pixel density of Alligator S454 is more and it is 245 ppi whereas the other mobile phone has only 218 ppi. Both are IPS LCD type displays. The display of Obi Alligator is better than Iris x1.
Physical dimensions of Obi Alligator S454 are 133 x 66 x 8.2 mm and it weighs 120 grams. X1 comes with 134 x 66 x 8.9 mm body dimensions and it weighs 138 grams. Both the devices are offered in black and white color options. Both the handsets are powered by quad core processors and are paired with 1 GB RAM. Internal storage is 8 GB and there is facility to expand memory up to 32 GB via micro SD.
Obi Alligator S454 and Lava Iris X1 smartphones come equipped with 8 megapixel primary camera with auto focus and there is also 2 megapixel front facing camera also on board. Both the handsets support GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB connectivity. Other features are FM Radio, loudspeaker and 3.5 mm audio jack. Both the handsets support dual SIM.
Obi Alligator S454 has 1600 mAh Li-ion battery and the Iris X1 comes packed with 2100 mAh Li-ion battery. Both the devices come out of the box with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat operating system. Looking at the comparison of specifications, it can be concluded that Obi Alligator S454 is better than Iris X1 and it also comes for cheaper price.
Obi Alligator S454 scores marks in price, display and also performance. Lava Iris X2 is better when it comes to camera performance and the build quality.
