CES 2015: Asus ZenFone Zoom, Thinnest Smartphones in the World with 3x Optical Zoom Lens Announced

Asus launched ZenFone Zoom smartphone along with Zenfone 2 smartphone at CES 2015. This handset comes with 3x optional zoom. This is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2015 and will be made available in meteorite black and glacier white color option. Zoom is priced $399.

Las Vegas: Asus Zenfone Zoom is designed for the photography lovers and the handset comes with 5.5 inch display with resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels. It comes out of the box with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and is powered by 2.3 GHz quad core Intel Atom processor. The processor is coupled with 2 GB RAM. Internal storage is 128 GB. Zenfone Zoom comes equipped with 13 megapixel camera at rear and 5 megapixel camera at front. Camera features are 3x optical zoom, optical image stabilization, auto focus and real tone flash. It supports WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth connectivity. It comes packed with 3000 mAh battery under the hood.

Recent smartphone that was launched with an optical zoom camera was Galaxy K Zoom from Samsung which was not very popular. This is one of the thinnest smartphones that comes with 3x optical zoom. Design of the handset reminds one of Lumia 1020 smartphone. As the name indicates, Zoom comes with 3x optical zoom lens that comprises 10 elements. Users can get access to focal point, shutter speed, ISO, exposure value and white balance. The handset is only 11.95 thick.
