CES 2015: Alcatel Launched One Touch Hero 2C Smartphone, One Touch Smartwatch

Alcatel launched a new handset in One Touch series dubbed as Hero 2C. The handset will be launched in Latin America first and later will be rolled out for other regions. Alcatel has not revealed the exact launching date as well as the price of the handset.

Las Vegas: Alcatel One Touch Hero 2C sports 6 inch display and the resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system. It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor and is paired with 2 GB RAM. Internal storage provided is 16 GB and there is facility to expand memory further via micro SD. It features 13 megapixel primary camera and there is also front facing camera on board. Connectivity features of the handset include WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G. The handset is offered in single and dual SIM variants. Battery under the hood is 2600 mAh.

Alcatel also unveiled its first smartwatch One Touch Watch. It is going to be offered with a price tag of $149. The watch is compatible with both iOS and Android operating system devices. It comes with 1.22 inch circular screen. It is powered by STMicroelectronics STM429 chipset and comes packed with 210 mAh battery. It supports NFC and Bluetooth connectivity. Other features are health tracing, inbuilt heart rate monitor, accelerometer, altimeter and e-compass. It will be offered in metal and micro textured resin models. Metal models are going to be launched by the end of 2015 and the other variants will hit the shelved in first quarter of this year.
