Porsche Cayenne 2015 launched in India for Rs. 1.08 Crores – 4.8L Bi-Turbo can sprint 0-100 kmph in 4.5 Sec

Cayenne may not be the key player for the German Performance Car making giant Porsche globally but it is one of the significant breeds for the Indian terrain. The manufacturer has launched the all new Cayenne Facelift 2015 in the Indian market now and it is available for sale in petrol as well as in diesel versions in the country. Porsche is offering the base Cayenne for a starting price of just Rs. 1.08 Crores whereas the range topping Cayenne Turbo is priced for Rs. 1.78 Crores in India.

Mr. Anil Reddy, the Director for Porsche India has stated in connection with the launch of the Facelift Cayenne “The new Porsche Cayenne embodies the ultimate Porsche traits, class leading performance and outstanding driveability. No matter the road conditions, the new Cayenne delivers a unique automotive experience and we expect our customers to share in the excitement around this thrilling evolution”. Porsche is offering the new Cayenne in four trims and they are – Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S Diesel, Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo respectively. Though not yet confirmed officially, Porsche may soon introduce other variants of the model such as Cayenne GTS and Cayenne Turbo S in the Indian market.

The base Cayenne variant comes powered with a 3.0 litre V6 diesel engine that is capable of producing around 245 PS power at the peak along with 550 Nm of torque. Cayenne S comes powered with a 4.2 litre V8 diesel engine that churns out around 385 PS power at the peak along with 850 Nm of torque. The former is capable of attaining 100 kmph from rest within just around 7.6 seconds only and top speed of the variant is around 218 kmph. Cayenne S is capable of sprinting 100 kmph speed from rest within just 5.4 seconds and top speed is around 252 kmph. Cayenne S takes around 5.5 seconds for the same sprint whereas the range topping Cayenne Turbo takes just 4.5 seconds for the same.
