Videocon Infinium Z40 Quad released September 2014 and Gionee V188 came out at around the same time. Both phones have proven to be exceedingly good in their functions. Z40 Quad is available in black and white colors in the candy bar form factor. It is 125x64x10 mm and weighs around 122 g. It has a proximity sensor, accelerometer and G-sensor along with orientation support.

Mumbai: The Gionee V188 is available in white color and candy bar form factor with dimensions 142x76x11 mm. It weighs around 182 g and has a proximity sensor, G sensor, light sensor, accelerometer and gravity sensor. It has a touch keypad. Both phones have an IPS LCD Capacitive Touch screen. Z40 Quad has a resolution of 480×800 pixels with a 4 inch display screen. On the other hand Gionee V188 has a resolution of 720×1280 pixels with a 5 inch display screen.

Z40 Quad has an internal memory of 4 GB and 512 MB of RAM size. It has a microSD support and a memory support of up to 32 GB. Gionee V188 has an internal memory of 8 GB with 1 GB RAM size. It also has a microSD support and a memory support of up to 128 GB.

Z40 Quad has a 5 mega pixel camera with a resolution of 2592×1944 pixels. The front facing camera is 3.2 Mega pixels. It has an LED flash and digital zoom. Gionee V188 has an 8 mega pixel with a resolution 3264×2448 pixels. It has an LED flash and front facing camera of 2 mega pixels. Both phones have autofocus, touch focus and image viewer. Both phones have Wi-Fi, blue tooth and micro USB support options.

Z40 Quad has a battery power of 170 hours on standby time and 4 hours talk time while Gionee V188 has 70 hours standby time and 25 hours of talk time. While Z40 Quad has a dual SIM feature the Gionee V188 is popular for the thinnest design and the 88 degree wide viewing angle camera.
