Tollywood Movie Patashala Review: Clean Youthful Entertainer

Patashala is a new movie that hit the silver screens on this Friday. This is a new zoner movie which is new to the Tollywood industry. The movie is directed by Mahi V Raghav who produced movies such as Vinayakudu, Villegelo Vinayakudu and Kudirite Kappu Coffee. The movie is about 5 friends who complete their graduation, their 5000 kilo meter road trip for five weeks, their experiences and the lessons they learnt.

Cinematography is the main strength of the movie Patashala. Another asset for the film is the performance of five lead actors. Nandu, Anupriya and Sireesha delivered wonderful performance. Krishna Bhagavan appeared in a guest role. Nandu makes the audience laugh with his good comedy timing.

This is the first movie for Mahi as a director. Though he selected a good story, few scenes remind us of Happy days, Saroja and Bommarillu movies. Other senior actors who played important roles are LB Sriram, Narasimha Raju and so on. first half of the movie is very entertaining and fast. Second half however becomes very slow. The narration is also slow and audience will feel bored in the second half. This movie may run well in A centers but may not be enjoyed by B C Center audience. Overall this is a clean youthful entertainer that gives a good feel.

Cinematography, locations, dialogues and music are all plus points of the movie. The movie is shot completely in Telugu states. Background music is good. Editing is good in first half but should have been better in the second half. Mahi’s storyline and points are new but screenplay should have been more gripping.

Overall Patashala is a new zoner movie that will remind the audience of their college days. it will be liked by youth. Major plus points for the movie are the first half, Nandu’s comedy, few emotional elements and the beautiful locations. Minus points is the slow narration, increased emotional dose in second half.
