Google’s Android Update Set to Flow to Motorola’s Droid Versions Soon

So now that is the news that came from Verizon’s website. Motorola has lined up its Droid version of devices for the latest Android update 4.4.4. These devices are Motorola Droid Mini, Droid Ultra and Droid Maxx.

Washington: Earlier on June 2, 2014, Google released Android KitKat 4.4.3 update for its devices. Citing some problems with the update, it again released another version of Android 4.4.4 after a few days. Initially, only Google’s Nexus line of devices were sought after for this update. Those were Nexus 4, 5, 7 & 10. Later on Motorola too was lined up for its Droid devices. Before that, Motorola had some of its devices updated with the Android KitKat. They were Moto G, Moto E and Moto X.

Basically, this update has some security patch works amongst other minor feature changes. This update which is over 200MB in size has feature that is going to enhance the device performance and mostly boost the security features. It is going to help in functioning the voicemail, camera capabilities and ISIS platform for mobile payments. Before deploying, a final checkup will be done by developers to find any minor bugs and then will be officially rolled out to Motorola.

By way of OTA or Over the Air, this is sent to all the Nexus users to update their devices. For other users, they will have to check with the Carrier on supporting this update.
