In the Entrepreneur category awards were received by Shazia Saleem, Dr.Deepa Apte, Jagruti Duggal, Romy Gill, Jess Jeetly, Meeta Thareja.

In Arts and culture category awards were received by Nazy vassegh, Arunima Kumar, Preeya Kalidas, Indiraa Batra, and Nisha Tandon.

04.06.2014: The last of World War II Navajo Code talker died in Albuquerque New Mexico. He is Chester Nez. He died at the age of 93. 29 Navajos created an unbreakable code that was never broken by any one.

Bailey’s Women’s prize for Fiction won by Eimear McBride

On the advice of Narendra Modi, President of India has given additional charges. This decision was taken due to the death of Gopinath Munde in the car accident.

HSBC Services Business Activity Index was at 50.2 in May

04.06.2014: In the month of April 2014, HSBC Services Business Activity index was 48.5 but in the month of May this index increased to 50.2. For the first time in 11 months Service Sector in India expanded. It was revealed by HSBC Services Purchasing Manager’s Index. This expansion was done mainly due to rebound in new orders and an overall improvement in client demand.

An agreement between IICA and Grant Thornton

04.06.2014: An agreement was made between IICA (Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs) and Grant Thornton (Tax Consultant Firm). Agreement was signed to develop the capacity of Indian companies for implementation of Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) Rules which were laid down in the companies Act.

04.06.2014: CBI registered 46 FIRs in the multi crore Saradha Chit Fund Scam. This is the first set of FIR. 3 FIR’s filed in West Bengal where as 43 were in Odisha. Cases were filed against CEO of the company media group, directors and Group CMD.

Defence budget of Pakistan hiked by 11%

04.06.2014: For the fiscal year 2014-15, defence budget of Pakistan increased by 11% and reached to Rs. 700.2 billion as against Rs.627.2 billion. This will be implemented from 1st July 2014. Defence budget was announced while Finance Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar was presenting Rs.3.9 trillion in the National Assembly.

To Safeguard Intangible Cultural Heritage of India, Intergovernmental committee was elected

04.06.2014: To Safeguard Intangible Cultural Heritage of India, Intergovernmental committee was elected. This committee will act for next 4 years. India won the elections to this committee at UNESCO Headquarters Paris by resounding 135 votes against total of 142 votes cast by Member states that were present in the voting. These elections were conducted on 4th June 2014 by General Assembly of the states Parties to the convention for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural Heritage.

Subrata Roy plea to be put under House arrest was rejected

04.06.2014: Subrata Roy plea to be put under House arrest was rejected by Apex Court. Court had asked to sell properties to mobilise Rs.5000 crores in cash and an equal amount in bank guarantee for securing his release.

Central Information Commission ruled that private schools will govern by RTI

04.06.2014: Central Information Commission ruled that private schools will come under the provision of RTI (Right to Information) Act. Till now these schools were governed by a law such as the Delhi Education Act.

Award was presented at National Summit on ICT in Healthcare which was organised by Assocham. On behalf of the company award was received by Krishnam Raju Director Incharge of GMR EMRI from Lov Verma. Lov Verma is Secretary Ministry for Health & Family Welfare Government of India.
