Gionee has recently launched its budget octa core device, the E7 Mini and it will be going up against the seasoned Micromax Canvas Knight

New Delhi:Micromax Canvas Knight has been ruling the budget octa core segment and it has been joined in by the Elife E7 Mini which was launched for Rs 18,999 and comes with a swivel camera. Let us see which one is better.

There is a plethora of smartphones flooding the market and many more are still in line. It is always advised to compare the top quality smartphones before making a purchase. Here is a comparative look at the Micromax’s latest Canvas Knight 350 and Gionee’s Elife E7 Mini:

Display: The Micromax Canvas Knight A350 smartphone comes with a capacitive IPS touch display of 5 inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. On the other hand, Gionee Elife E7 Mini features a capacitive IPS touch display of 4.7 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Processor: Canvas Knight A350 has been powered by an octa core procesor clocked at 2 GHz while Elife E7 Mini comes equipped with a MediaTek MT6592 octa core processor of 1.7 GHz.

Software: Both the devices function on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Memory: Canvas Knight A350 offers a RAM of 2 GB and inbuilt storage space of 32 GB while Elife E7 Mini offers a RAM of 1 GB and inbuilt storage space of 16 GB.

Camera: Canvas Knight A350 offer a primary camera of 16 MP and a front facing shooter of 5 MP while Elife E7 Mini provides a primary camera of 13 MP that can be swiveled to use as a front facing camera as well.

Connectivity Features: The connectivity features incorporated in both the smartphones include Bluetooth, A-GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G.

Other Features: Both the smartphones are dual SIM devices and feature a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Battery: Canvas Knight A350 runs on a battery of 2350 mAh while Elife E7 Mini runs on a battery of 2100 mAh.

Our Take: After considering the two devices, my verdict is in favor of Micromax Canvas Knight A350 smartphone as it provides you with a bigger and better display, faster processor, more RAM and internal storage space, a better rear camera and more battery capacity. Plus, both of them cost similar as Canvas Knight is available for around Rs 19,000 and E7 Mini for around Rs 18,500.
