CONGRESS' DOUBLE STANDARDS

Congress Is Another Name For Double Standards

For the past 67 years, India has been witnessing the double standards as exhibited by congress on various issues.

Hyderabad: Congress is another name for double standards. Whether it is political statements, welfare schemes, the party has been showing its unique feature of double standards.

The latest incident comes when BJP PM Candidate Narendra Modi declared name of his wife (after 4 election affidavits), congress leaders made huge cry against Modi describing him as anti-women. Within one fortnight of Modi’s episode, reports in the press and media are abuzz about the extra marital affairs (?) of congress leader Digvijay Singh. As per the reports, his affairs with the TV anchor existed for the past 2-3 years and the tip of the iceberg is that the mentioned TV Anchor is a married woman living with her husband in a legal relation.

The recent T-issue exhibited the congress nature. The T-movement existing for the last 60 years has been ignored by the congress party. With the movement reaching to its peak, all the political parties (including TDP, YSRCP, CPI) issued letters long back (to UPA headed by congress) to resolve the issue amicably. After keeping the letters in cold storage till the expiry of the present UPA term, congress suddenly woke up and expressed its desire to form Telangana blaming that the political parties (that gave letters) are responsible for division.

Once the Telangana formation has been cleared by parliament, congress started another twist. In Telangana it claimed that Cognress gave Telangana while in Seemandhra region it mentioned that letters of political parties forced it to give Telangana. In this way congress wanted to gain political mileage in both the regions.

Congress script has been well portrayed by TRS leaders in connection with T-movement. During the movement, KCR declared many times that he would merge TRS with congress once the state formation is completed. When the bill got cleared in parliament, TRS immediately went back on its word and contested the election without any alliance with congress. After the heated election campaign, just before the election-day TRS declared that it is ready to work with congress once the election results are out. This proved that TRS is an extended arm of congress.

When the country as a whole is weeding out congress (in its various forms including alliance partners), TRS leadership tried to make mockery of the T-voters. Ultimately, the votes given by T-voters to TRS are going to congress only and these kinds of dramas are not new to congress
