Will Windows 9 Replace Windows XP?

Microsoft Corporation confirmed that support for Windows XP has been ended officially on 8th April 2014. The latest OS from Microsoft Windows 9 is in offing to replace Windows XP?

Washington: Windows XP is a well accepted OS with ease of operation as well as efficiency. However its major drawback happened to be that it has been hacked and put Microsoft to great loss. Microsoft then developed many versions of windows for maintenance of security. Additional security in form of service pack 2 & service pack 3 for Windows XP have been added. Service Pack 3 is just a replica to its predecessor SP2 but it has limitation in terms of speed. Overall, Microsoft could enjoy greater success with XP in the family of Windows OS.

Further products from Microsoft included Vista with little success (as only people who loved XP appearance preferred to go for it). Windows 7 is grand success due to aero experience and speed offered by it. Windows 8 released by Microsoft, could not bring great success to the company because the interface as provided by the company could not get immediate acceptance by the users. An update to Windows 8 i.e., Windows 8.1 is an instant success (with improvements in appearance, speed, start menu tiles etc).Another update of Windows 8.1 i.e., Windows 8.2 is expected to be launched in the next 3 months time.

As a full-fledged replacement to Windows XP, the Microsoft Corporation developed its latest OS i.e., Windows 9 and plans to release it in the later part of 2014 or early 2015. The proposed OS 9 has attractive features like:

  • It was also built on the interface of windows 8 with the multi-touch screen features.
  • Faster start up and shut down options.
  • The much appreciated colour combination of Windows XP is retained for windows 9 as well.
  • Experts from Mcirosoft are working to improve stability of OS.
  • Start menu re-appearance (which was absent in Windows 8).
  • It will retain the Windows 8 start menu as well.
  • Direct booting to desk top.
  • The OS supports all the earlier version of Microsoft Windows.

Windows 9 is projected as an OS that has full ability to replace windows XP offering more entertainment, classical view and musical enhancements, visibility modes and recreation options.
