Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept Revealed – Features Remote Control Drive, SmartGlass, Terrain Response System

Land Rover has finally revealed the most awaited Discovery Concept prior to the official debut at this year’s New York Auto Show. The upcoming concept has displayed a unique and fresh design pattern describing the desire of the manufacturer to introduce more and more creative models to potential customers. Land Rover is bringing forward the model with one a kind features such as ‘Remote Controlled Drive’ in order to attract majority buyers across the globe.

Former edition variants of the Discovery have been reputed the most among all Land Rover breeds and we can consider Discovery as the key player for the manufacturer so far. The centre console consists of two high resolution touch screen displays which are meant for showing information about the vehicle, statistics of journey and also displays other menus. Two smaller screens are mounted on the steering wheel which are use to operate infotainment system. Land Rover has equipped the two front rows of seats in the Discovery Vision Concept with Nimbus White leather material whereas the third row is covered with Navy Blue leather.

Remote Control Drive is the most significant feature of the Discovery Vision Concept which is very helpful in critical driving conditions. The terrain response dial is docked to the centre console normally and it can be taken out when the driver wants to use Remote Control Drive. The Discovery Vision concept can be driven with Remote Control but only at slow speeds and the system can also be accessed through a smart phone or a tablet. The Smart Glass of the centre console allows passengers seated on back seats to control the system with eye winks and gestures.
