An agreement was signed by BHEL and Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited for Hydro Power

31.03.2014: An agreement was signed by BHEL and Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited of Uttarakhand for Hydro Power. This agreement was signed to construct Hydro Power Project in Uttarakhand for the amount of Rs.125 crores. With this agreement manufacturing capacity of BHEL will increase to 20000 MW per annum.

31.03.2014: In the month of March 2014, Annual Euro zone inflation of Berlin comes to 4 year low. It is increasing pressure on the European Central Bank. In the month of February 2014 regions cost of living is 0.7 % and it had slumped to 0.5 % in March. This was stated as per the European Statistics Office Eurostat.

Retired Domestic Security Chief Zhou Yongkang’s 14.5 billion dollars assets were seized

31.03.2014: 14.5 billion dollars assets were seized by Chinese authorities. These assets belong to family members and associates of retired domestic security Chief Zhou Yongkang. He is having 300 apartments and villas whose cost is Rs.274 million dollars, Domestic and overseas bonds cost is Rs.8.2 billion dollars and bank deposits worth is Rs.5.9 billion dollars. Now he is under house arrest.

Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan announced by Japan for Indian Projects

31.03.2014: For 5 Indian projects, Japan had announced ODA (official Development Assistance) loan. This loan amount is Rs.15000 crores. In the history of ODA loans this is the largest amount. Indian projects were Delhi Mass Rapid Transport System Project, Haryana Distribution System Up gradation Project, Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Energy Saving Project, New & Renewable energy development project. Agreement was signed by Takeshi Yagi ambassador of Japan to India and Rajesh Khullar Joint Secretary Department of Economic Affairs in the Union Finance Ministry.

Omnibus reform Bill passed by Greek Parliament

31.03.2014: Omnibus reform Bill passed by Greek Parliament. In the 11th hour this bill got great opposition but later it was passed. First article is relating to reforms of milk. Out of 300 members in the Parliament, 152 members voted for this article as against 135 votes. Second article is relating to the reforms of the bank. It was passed in the parliament with 151 votes as against 136 votes.
