Ordinance Passed For The Subsidy Of Food Grains

05-07-2013: Government has decided to provide 5Kgs of food grains every month to the poor at the subsidy prices of one Rupee per Kg. This ordinance was signed by Pranab Mukherjee, President. Estimated annual budget for this scheme is Rs.1, 25,000 crores.

05-07-2013: Instructions have given to the Election commission by the Supreme Court to frame the guidelines to control the election manifesto. Main intension to set the guidelines is to restrict the political parties from free promises.

1, 95,000 New Jobs Given To The Unemployed In US In June 2013

05-07-2013: Bureau of Labor statistics has released a report on July 5th 2013 stating that US Economy has given new jobs of 1, 95,000 in the month of June. This figure is above the market expectations. Due to this dollar rate has increased and Euro rate is decreased. There is a good improvement in US Economy.

05-07-2013: SEBI has taken action on the promoters and directors of Gillette India for non compliance towards the minimum public holdings (MPH). It has also stopped all the corporate benefits to the company. Directors and Promoters cannot take new positions till company meets MPH.

Traffic Capacity of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust is increasing to 10 Million TEUs

05-07-2013: Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust has decided to increase the handling container traffic capacity to 10 Million TEUs by 2016-17. Current capacity of the port is 4 Million TEUs. In order to achieve this target government is providing support by undertaking 30 port projects with Rs.25000 crores of investment.

05-07-2013: Mahasundari Devi was passed away. She is famous for her Clay work and Sujani Craft. Devi has completed 92 years. She was awarded Padmasri in 2010. Another prestigious award for her is Shilpa Guru. Apart from these two awards she also got several national awards for her Mithila Painting.

Nasscom has appointed Chandrasekhar as its president

05.07.2013: Chandrasekhar has appointed as Nasscom President on 5th July 2013. Previously he acted as Secretary to the Department of Telecommunications. Department of Telecommunications formally known as DoT. He completed his IAS course in 1975. Major barrier before the Indian companies at present is Immigration Modernisation Act 2013. This act was introduced by US. It will be the first challenge to Chandrasekhar after he his appoint.

Crisil has given AAA rating to Infrastructure Debt fund

05.07.2013 : Crisil is the Rating agency. For the first time in India Infrastructure Debt fund has received AAA rating. This fund was allotted to the a road project between Zirakpur and Parwanoo. City Corporate Finance , ICICI, LIC and Bank of Baroda has jointly promoted this fund. Investment target of India during the period between 2012 and 2017 in infrastructure is $ 1 trillion.

Bharat Light and Power has purchased wind Turbine Project of DLF

05.07.2013 : Bharat Light and Power has purchased Wind Turbine Project of DLF on 5th July 2013. Deal was finalised for Rs.325 crores. This wind Turbine Project is situated in four states namely Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Karnataka. Over all capacity of this project is 227 MW.
