Family Multi-Starrers: The Latest Trend

Multiple generation heroes from same family happen to be a more attractive feature for fans of these heroes. To encash on this popularity, family multi starrers are providing extra enjoyment.

Hyderabad: Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao produced films like Akbar Salim Anarkali, Tatamma Kala, Ram Rahim where this world-famous hero is seen with his successors like Harikrishna, Balakrishna etc. Even at their tender age, these juniors could perform well and these films enjoyed commercial success as well. The combination of NTR with Balakrishna has continued in films like Anna Tammula Anubandham, Dana Veera Sura Karna, Srimad Viratparvam, Anuraga Devata, Simham Navvindi , Srimadvirat Potuluri Virabrahmendra Swamy Charitra etc. (and most of them happen to be their own productions).

The same trend continued in recent years wherein Films of Ramcharan have appearance of his father Mega Star Chiranjeevi (Magadheera etc.) and in order to provide more enjoyment some of Chiranjeevi’s songs are re-produced in Ramcharan’s movies.

Another hit film ‘Sisindri’ casting Jr. Akhil had Nagarjuna in full length role and this picture also proved to be another commercial hit.

While Super Star Krishna acted with his sons Ramesh & Mahesh, Mahesh had more chances than Ramesh to act with his daddy. (These movies had Master Mahesh). Prince Mahesh Babu’s debutant film as hero ‘Rajakumarudu’ had appearance by Krishna and this gave thrilling enjoyment for fans of superstar fans. Prince Mahesh Babu’s latest film ‘1 Nenokkadine’ has appearance by Mahesh’s son Master Gautam Krishna.

Mohan Babu’s Laxmi Prasanna Pictures produced many super hit films where the sons of Mohan Babu (Manchu Vishnu Vardhan & Manchu Manoj) had acted and those pictures had good revenues at box office. The latest hit from this Manchu family is ‘Pandvaulu Pandavulu Tummeda’ has all the 3 heroes (Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnuvardhan & Manchu Manoj) and this picture proved to be the only hit of this year’s Sankranti releases.

Rebel Star Krishnam Raju has been continuing his film career in variety of roles hero, character actor, villain etc. Prabhas (son of Krishnam Raju’s brother) has acted in films like Billa, Rebel where Kirshnam Raju played full length role and both these films enjoyed commercial success at box office.
