Xolo to Launch Windows 8.1 OS Based Smartphones and Tablets

Xolo is one of the popular Indian brands and the company is likely to unveil its Windows 8.1 based smartphones and tablets soon. Windows tablet is likely to be launched in January and Windows smartphone in coming four months.

Mumbai: Indian domestic brand Xolo is going to launch tablet PCs and smartphones into the market soon. Xolo recently launched the first smartphone that is powered by Intel processor. The tablets and smartphones that will be launched by Xolo will be based on Windows 8.1 operating system. Price range of these tablets will be between Rs. 9 and 18 thousand, informed the company. Windows tablet will be launched in to the market in January, informed Xolo Indi marketing head Rohant Shyam. Xolo will be the first Indian domestic brand to offer tablet with Windows operating system.

Xolo is also planning to launch Windows smartphone in the coming four months. The handsets will be priced Rs. 10,000 and more. Xolo recently launched Play Tegra Note which is getting good response. Nearly 5000 units of the tablet were sold in the first week of its release. There is huge demand for this model from retailers and it is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor which is the fastest processor in the world.

Xolo Play Tegra Note is powered by 1.8 GHz quad core A Cortex A15 CPU and is backed by 1 GB RAM. it also is provided with 16 GB internal storage. Other specifications of the tablet include 5 megapixel camera and 4100 mAh battery. it is priced Rs. 17,999 in India.

Other handset recently launched by Xolo is the LT900, the first 4G smartphone from domestic maker in India. This was officially launched in India. Xolo sold nearly ten lakh smartphones in India. The company is targeting ten percent Indian smartphone market in India.

Xolo is the only Indian company that does not offer affordable smartphones. It however gives great value for the price for the smartphones. The windows and smartphones from the company are expected to be launched soon. Windows microphone 8.1 operating system is yet to officially launch by Microsoft. It is expected to come in the month of April and Xolo’s new smartphones can be expected to release after that.
