Intel unveiled its new tablet targeting students and teachers. Dubbed as Intel Education Tablet, it will run on Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system. It will be powered by Intel Atom dual core processor. The price and availability details are not yet announced.

London: Intel launched an education tablet that is based on Android operating system. The tablet was unveiled at Bett Education Technology show in London. This digital learning tool is given IP52 certification and comes with water and dirt resistant capabilities. The tablet can also withstand a fall from 70 cm height.

Coming to the specifications, Intel education tablets will run on Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system and are powered by 1.2 GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2520 processor. It is provided with front, rear cameras, we GB flash storage. It will support WiFi and 3G and gives a battery life of 12 hours.

The 10.1 inch LCD display will be very convenient for reading eBooks. The pixel resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels. The processor of Intel education table is 1.2 GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2529 processor which will be supported by 1 GB RAM for better performance and the internal storage is 8 GB/16 GB or 32 GB. Clicking images with a big display tablet is not common but even though the tablet comes with a 5 megapixel primary camera for taking images and 1.26 megapixel for selfies and video calling. Connectivity features of the tablet include WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G. No information is revealed about the availability and pricing of the tablet.
