New Delhi: India’s own luxury car maker and the alliance of Tata Motors, the Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled a new version of the Range Rover in Indian market.

The manufacturer has finally unveiled a diesel variant of the Range Rover by keeping in mind about the increasing demand for diesel vehicles in the domestic market. With the new launch, Range Rover will be available for customers in three unique variants basing on the engine specifications.

Range Rover will be equipped with a 5.0 liter V8 super charged petrol engine that is capable of generating 510 PS of power at the peak along with 625 Nm of torque. The vehicle is also available in two others variants one powered with a 4.4 liter V8 diesel engine that is capable of generating 339 PS of power along with 700 Nm of torque at the peak and also with a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine that can generate 258 PS of power at the peak along with 600 Nm of torque.

The 3.0 Liter Diesel engine version is the latest from the manufacturer under the Range Rover model and t has been offered in two versions namely HSE and Vogue. The brand new HSE version comes with several additional premium features and improved fuel efficiency. The vehicle comes with intelligent start / stop system which is capable of stopping the engine within few milliseconds after pressing the stop button.

The team of engineers from Jaguar has developed a new model of transmission system especially for this latest version of Range Rover. Jaguar claimed that this new gear box allows the driver to shift between the gears very faster and with more ease. The new ZF8 speed automatic transmission gear box has also been described as a fuel saver by the manufacturer.

Jaguar Land Rover has currently priced the V8 diesel variants of the brand new Range Rover in the price range of Rs. 1.45 crores and Rs. 1.65 crores in the Indian market at ex Showroom Delhi.
