As per the information Rolls Royce has made 27 units of Phantom this year so far and 7 out of the 27 have already been sold and with their owners currently. As a part of regular inspection, the authorities at the plant have came to know that a component named “anti-misfueling device” was missing in the vehicle. The manufacturer immediately informed respective stores which have taken delivery of the defaulted Phantom units and ordered to send them back.

Owners of the respective 7 sold phantoms have been informed about the same and all the 27 units have been brought back to garage. The respective device performs several duties which in turn restrict the chance of catching fire and thus it may be considered as crucial element. It discharges the static electricity produced in the engine and also prevents usage of diesel fuel in order to prevent catching fire.

Rolls Royce has sent a document in connection with the respective blunder happened at their end to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The manufacturer informed that all the Phantom units made from 2nd November, 2012 and 18th January, 2013 might not contain the anti-misfueling device and thus they want to call back the respective units for the safety of valued customers.
