Nokia Lumia EOS Coming Soon: Nokia Lumia Handsets to Become Affordable in India
New Delhi: According to some reports available, Nokia’s latest handset which is codenamed EOS is going to be unveiled soon. The commercial name of the device is expected to be Lumia 1000. It is going to come with a 41 megapixel PureView camera. No other smartphone manufacturer has come up with such camera in their devices. Even Samsung or Apple devices have such camera in their products. Most of the flagship handsets of mobile manufacturers have 8 megapixel camera except for a few who introduced 13 megapixel camera.
Nokia Lumia EOS will run on Microsoft Windows Phone 8 operating system, the latest version of software. It will sport a 4.3 inch curved Glass touchscreen display. The camera will feature Carl Zeiss lens. It comes with 1080p full HD video recording feature and Rich Recording technology. The device will be powered by dual core processor. It will also feature Adreno 320 graphical processor.
Nokia Lumia EOS is expected to come with various other impressive specification. Nokia has already produced two lines of handsets that work on Windows Phone. One line of devices runs on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. This line consist devices like Lumia 900, Lumia 800 and Lumia 610. The latest series of devices run on Windows Phone 8 operating system. This series includes Lumia 920, 820, 620 and the yet to be announced Lumia 1000.
Meanwhile, there is information about Nokia slashing the prices of its handsets in India. D Shivakumar, senior official of Nokia India informed to media that Nokia is planning to make Lumia series of phone affordable to Indian consumers. Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 handsets are very popular among Indian customers but they are priced very high, much higher than the affordability level of Indian consumers. Thus the devices are not getting much response. Slashing the prices will help Nokia attract various types of customers.
Nokia 920 is the best Windows phone available in the market but the Indian customers are not able to purchase this device which is offered with impressive specifications. It comes with a 4.7 inch display and 1280 x 768 pixel resolution. Nokia 920 comes equipped with 8.7 PureView based autofocus rear camera. Other specifications are 2000 mAh battery and 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor.
