Arrest Warrant on Bangladesh Ex Prime Minister Khaleda Zia

26.2.2015: Court issued arrest warrant on Bangladesh ex prime minister Khaleda Zia. She is not appearing for the hearing of a corruption case. Her lawyer informed to the court that she is unable to appear due to security reasons. Arrest Warrant was also issued for the arrest of Zia’s elder son who is presently in London.

Kumara Sangakkara in 400 One Day Matches Club

26.2.2015: Kumara Snagakkara, Sri Lanka batsmen joined the 400 one day matches club. He played his 400th match in his career against Bangladesh in world cup tourney on 26th February. Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with 463 matches. Sanath Jayasurya played 445 matches, Mahela Jayawardene is in 3rd place with 444 matches. Sangakkara is not only a good batsman but also a good wicket keeper. Sangakkara dismissed 51 batsmen in world cup matches and is in the second place. Adam Gilchrist is in first place with 52 dismissals.

Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu Presented Railway Budget 2015-16

26.2.2015: Railway minister Suresh Prabhu presented his maiden Railway budget for the year 2015-16 in Lok Sabha on 26th February, 2015. Train fares for passengers are not increased and the minister confirmed that Railways will not be privatized. 17,399 bio toilets are going to be introduced. This is the first budget with no proposals for new trains.

Indian women in Forbes 50 ‘Power Business Women 2015’

26.2.2015: Six Indian women figured in Forbes 50 ‘Power Business Women 2015’ list. The six women are Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chandana Kochchar, Akhila Srinivasan, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Shikha Sharma and Usha Sangwan. The Forbes power business Women of Asia list includes women entrepreneurs and executives, CEOs and founders.

LG & Samsung are Most Trusted Electronic Brands in India

26.2.2015: Korea electronic brands LG and Samsung Mobiles are crowned the most trusted brands in India. Sony, Tata and Nokia brands are in next places. The Brand Trust Report confirmed this. LG was in the fourth place in this report in 2014 and Samsung mobiles was in 379th place. Maruti Suzuki was in 11th place in 2014 and dropped to 16th place this year. The top ten brands are LG, Samsung mobiles, Hero Motocorp, Sony and Nokia. Nokia was in the fifth place in 2014 and retained the same place this year also.
