Watch out for Apple Watch in 2015

Apple is expected to come out with a bagful of luxury wrist watches, a refreshing look for its iPads and maybe a stylus. The Apple Watch is all set to ‘bind’ our wrists. But the question is will it make a difference?

Taipei: For Apple it is not the question of selling just a watch, but a pricey gold one. Are there any takers for the gold line of Apple Watch? Even if there are it is yet to have a feature that would make us sit up and think.

The retina display act may continue and is expected to be present in smaller iMacs than the one with 5K Retina display and hopefully in the MacBook Air. As the 2012 iPads have grown of age, there might be an exchange offer for the latest iPad Air and minis or maybe even the rumoured, big-screened iPad Pro.

Once Intel’s Skylake processors are at hand to equip the DisplayPort 1.3 in Thunderbolt 3, there is a possibility of the Mac Pro 5K being launched at the end of 2015.

Music app, Beats Music is coming to iOS 9 that is expected to arrive this autumn. It may be merged with iTunes. Also Apple is expected to launch HD music downloads. Among firsts might be the enterprise push of the Apple/IBM partnership that might lend some beef to the existing iPads and iOS.

Apple may be coming out with two new pen-ideas for the iPad Pro/Plus this year. Also there is a fair amount of guess that it might be joining the social network bandwagon ever since it has hired Musa Tariq, a social media expert. He had led Nike and Burberry in to social media.

Apple TV may become a part of HomeKit hub for connected home devices as the most recent update of its latest operating system has the code. Hope the long-rumoured Apple Store for Apple TV will come this year.

Coming to the iPhone 6, there might be a minor update in the form of iPhone 6S this year. HD music and home app for HomeKit may be the sales pitch for Apple in 2015.
