Hyderabad: Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2014 will be held on 21st September 2014. Candidates who were interested to write this examination can apply till 8th August 2014. Registration for this examination already started. To avoid last minute hurry up candidates has to apply for this examination now itself.

Eligibility: Minimum eligibility criteria to become teacher for Primary stage i.e. from Class 1st to 5th is completion of Senior secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 % marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates who were appearing in the final year of 2nd year Diploma in Elementary Education can also apply for this examination.
Minimum eligibility criteria required to become teachers for the elementary stage i.e. from Class 6th to Class 8th is completion of graduation or appearing in the final year of 2 year diploma in elementary education.
Exam Pattern: This is the objective mode of examination. Negative marking is not applicable. Examination papers are available in two languages namely English or Hindi. For this examination candidates need to prepare for two papers namely Paper I and Paper II.
For Paper I candidates need to prepare for Environmental studies (30 Marks), Mathematics (30 Marks), c Duration to write this examination is 2 hours.
For paper II candidates need to prepare for Language I ( 30 Marks ), Language II ( 30 Marks ), Child Development and Pedagogy ( 30 Marks ). (1) For Social Studies / Social Science teacher – Social studies which is for 60 marks, (2) For Mathematics and Science Teacher – Mathematics and Science which is for 60 marks. For any other teacher either (1) or (2).
Important Dates:
- Online submission of the application process started from 15th July 2014
- Online submission of the application process ends on 4th August 2014
- Checking the fee status will be done on 12th August 2014
- Online correction of the particulars will be done between 12th August 2014 to 19th August 2014
- Admit cards available from 22nd August 2014
- Examination will be held on 21st September 2014
