SPIED: Hero to launch load carrying version of HF Dawn to tackle TVS Boxer

Hero Moto Corp is likely to rejoice its portfolio and steps towards the same have been started already. The leading two wheeler maker of the country has already made it clear to us by launching refreshed versions of almost all two wheeler models earlier this year and there is still scope for receiving some more upgraded or revised variants by the end of this year. The largest segment of the Indian two wheeler market is of the Commuter bikes having engine displacement less than 125 CC and Hero is likely to upgrade the HF – Dawn which comes under the same segment.

Hero already have key players in the segment such as Splendor Pro, HF – Deluxe and Passion Pro. In order to strengthen the portfolio more, Hero has decided to launch a load carrying commuter bike which can tackle rival models such as TVS Boxer. An enthusiast has spotted a test mule of the upcoming edition of HF Dawn recently and few snaps of the unit were uploaded to web. The respective test mule was covered with black coloured camouflage on the fuel tank and head light but the Hero Moto Corp’ logo was visible from the instrument cluster.

Most of the cosmetic specs of the bike seems to be as same as that in the previous edition of the model. The front end gets the same round shaped head light and the same spoke wheels have been seen. The rear end gets the flat tail light and the same suspension system seen on the regular HF Dawn has been seen on the test mule also. The only difference we could observe is the carrier which has replaced the back seat. It has indicated that the bike s a load carrying version basically.

The new version of the HF Dawn may get powered with the same 97.2 CC single cylinder four stroke engine with air cooling technology which was seen on the former edition. The respective engine is capable of generating 7.8 PS power and 8.04 NM of torque at the peak. The same 4 speed manual gear box may be used and there might be slight variation in the price of the bike relatively.
