Bajaj launched Discover 125 for Rs.48619 – TVS Phoenix, Hero Glamour, Suzuki Slingshot and Yamaha SZ-R in trouble

Bajaj Auto has added one more variant to the Discover Series and this time, with more aggressive look. With the launch of the new Discover 125, Bajaj is hoping to have a breakthrough early this year and the manufacturer has also targeted to increase the revenue remarkably to reach to the top. As per the information, Bajaj holds around 22 % of the two wheeler market share in India and Hero Moto Corp is continuing at the first place currently.

The manufacturer went successful last year with the launch of the 125ST and 125T models along with the 100 CC variants of the same series. The new Discover 125 CC looks almost same as that of the recently revealed 125ST but few changes have been made to the look. In recent times, demand for 125CC bikes has grown enormously and majority of Indian buyers are preferring a 125 CC bike rather than a 100 CC bike as 125 CC bike offers great pickup and comfort while driving than a 100 CC bike. The difference of fuel efficiency delivered between a 100 CC bike and a 125 CC bike is not very high and this has increased the significance of 125 CC bikes a lot.

Mr. K Srinivas, the President for Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto has stated in connection with the launch “Many consumers are tired of the regular commuter bikes which offer only around 8 PS power. They would ideally wish to upgrade to sportier, attractive bikes with superior technology and features. However, barriers such as price and mileage deter them to move on to the 125 CC segment. The all new Discover 125 offers equivalent mileage of a 100 CC and comes with exciting performance and features all at an attractive price. We want the Indian commuter to live life to the fullest and ‘Jiyo Dana-Dan’.

Bajaj is offering the brand new Discover 125 in 5 colour shades – Charcoal Magenta, Charcoal Green, Silver Blue, Electron Blue, Silver Gold and Wine Red respectively. Power comes from a 125 CC 4 valve twin spark DTSi engine that is capable of generating around 11.5 PS power at the peak along with 10.8 Nm of torque. The manufacturer has claimed that the new Discover 125 assures fuel efficiency of around 76 kilometres per litre most probably. Suspension is taken care by Nitrox gas charged system in the front and the exclusive petal disk brake has been adopted from racing models. Bajaj is offering the brand new Discover 125 for a starting price of Rs. 48619 only.
