New Delhi: LG has now launched its LG G3 smartphone in the global market which is being widely compared to devices of other makers. The other flagship that will be going up against it will be the Samsung Galaxy S5. Here is a comparative look at the LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy S5:

Built: The dimensions of LG G3 smartphone are 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm and it weighs about 149 grams. While the dimensions of Galaxy S5 are 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm and it weighs about 145 grams.

Display: LG G3 comes with a True HD IPS LCD multi touch display of 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Galaxy S5 comes with a Super AMOLED multi touch display of 5.1 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

Processor: Both the smartphones come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, Krait 400 quad core processor of 2.5 GHz and Adreno 330 GPU.

Operating System: Both the smartphones function on Android 4.4.2 KitKat platform.

Memory: LG G3 offers a RAM of 2 GB with 16 GB internal memory and a RAM of 3 GB with 32 GB internal memory. Galaxy S5 comes with a RAM of 2 GB and internal memory of 16/ 32 GB. Both the devices offer up to 128 GB expandable memory.

Camera: LG G3 comes with a rear camera of 13 MP with dual LED flash and a front facing camera of 2.1 MP. Galaxy S5 comes with a rear camera of 16 MP with LED flash and a front facing camera of 2 MP.

Connectivity Features: The two devices offer connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPRS, Wi-Fi, NFC, USB, Infrared, 2G, 3G and 4G.

Battery: LG G3 works on a battery of 3000 mAh while Galaxy S5 works on a battery of 2800 mAh.

Our Take: After considering the specifications and features of the two devices, we could see that the two smartphones are very comparable. For a better and bigger display opt for LG G3 and the software gimmicks it brings to the table alongside it. LG has got everything right this time around in the hardware and software department and we just wish it gets the pricing right too in India.
