New President of FABA is WL Sumanthipala
30.05.2014: New President of FABA (Federation of Asian Biotech Association) is WL Sumanthipala. Currently he is acting as Chairman National Science Foundation.
New National Security Adviser is Ajit Doval
30.05.2014: New National Security Adviser is Ajit Doval. Earlier he acted as Intelligence Bureau Chief. He will take charge from 31st May 2014. He is 69 years. After taking charge, Modi had made second key appointment in the form of Ajit Doval. During the tenure of Ajit, he will provide deep insight about the threats faced by the country from within and from outside.
Economic Growth of Construction & Manufacturing reached to 4.7%
30.05.2014: In the year 2013-14, Economic Growth of Construction & Manufacturing reached to 4.7%. This growth is lower than the estimations of Central Statistics Office (CSO). As per CSO estimated growth is 4.9%.
Exports of Marine Products touched to $ 5007.7 million during 2013-14
30.05.2014: Exports of Marine Products touched to $ 5007.7 million during 2013-14. This is the all time record. Exports of the seafood aggregated to 9, 83,756 million tonnes whose cost is Rs.30, 213.26 crores. In the quality there is an economic growth is 5.98%. In terms of Rupees there is an economic growth is 60.23%. In the dollar earning growth is 42.6%.
Provisional and Quarterly estimation of National income report released by CSO
30.05.2014: Provisional and Quarterly estimation of National income report for the financial year 2013-2014 released by CSO (Central statistical Organisation). Growth rate of economy’s GDP (Gross Domestic Growth) is 4.7 % in the year 2013-14. Per Capita Income during 2013-14 is at Rs.39904 as against Rs.38856 in 2012-13.
Former President of Ecuador sentenced to jail for 12 years
30.05.2014: Former President of Ecuador, Jamil Mahuad, sentenced to jail for 12 years for embezzlement by a court of Ecuador.He was accused of ordering banks to close for several days and freeze the accounts of the ordinary citizens. This was done to protect the interests of the banks which were associated with him. This was done in 1999. At that time country suffered with serious economic crisis, struggled with high inflation, historically low prices of oil when they were exporting.

30.05.2014: 29th state Telangana will come into existence from 2nd June 2014. Logo of this state was ready. This was designed by Artist Laxman Aelay. He is 50 years old. He captured the essence of India, Hyderabadi tehzeeb and Telangana Culture to design the logo in pleasing colours. At the top of the Logo Lion Capital of Ashoka is located. At the lower half Charminar was designed. Green and Gold colour was used in designing the logo.
