Skoda Auto has launched a brand new edition of the Rapid Sedan in the Indian market which is having some of the best in class features. The new ‘Rapid Ultima’ is going to be available for sale at all Skoda dealerships across India for a limited time period only. Though the Government of India has slashed down excise duties and other taxes on cars in the recently announced interim budget, sales in the market haven’t caught any momentum. In order to have a breakthrough, Skoda is offering finance for Rapid sedan up to 100%.

Rapid Ultima sedan has been offered with a brand new design and a new set of engine options have been offered. Skoda Rapid Ultima is available for sale in both petrol as well as in diesel versions and the total number of variants of the model is 11 now with the addition of new members. Black coloured stripes have been added to the roof and to the boot area which has given sportier look to the Rapid sedan. The new Ultima emblem on the boot space describes the aggression of the model and the new 7 spoke full alloy wheels also adds to the elegance of the model.

Under the hood, the petrol version of the new Rapid Ultima sedan gets a 1.6 litre petrol engine that is capable of generating around 105 PS power at the peak along with 220 Nm of torque. The buyer gets a choice of availing a 5 speed manual transmission gear box or a 6 speed automatic transmission gear box. The diesel edition gets powered with a 1.6 litre TDI engine that will generate around 105 PS power at the peak along with 250 Nm of torque. Engine comes accompanied with a 5 speed manual transmission gear box as standard.

A number of exclusive features such as parking sensors on the rear, Garmin and Tom-Tom navigation, Bluetooth telephone connectivity, dual air bags for the safety of driver and passengers, premium leather seat covers and etc. have been offered with the new Rapid Ultima. Pricing details of the Rapid Sedan variants are as below
