Apple launches attractive buyback and EMI scheme for iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S

Apple has just launched an attractive buyback scheme and EMI offer for the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S which make the high priced smartphones easier to own and you’ll get a cashback too if you own Standard Chartered Credit card.

New Delhi: Ever since its inception, Apple Inc. has maintained the positioning of niche product maker and has shied away from Indian smartphone market. But this does not stand good anymore. The company has seriously got to the task of churning out volumes in India. Just a few days back it had slashed the prices of iPhone 4 and had introduced the buyback offer for iPhone 4C. The company is taking the same stride forward with its newly launched iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S.

TheIndian division of Apple has announced a buy-back and EMI (Easy Monthly Installment) schemes foriPhone5C andiPhone5S.

Under this scheme, buyers can avail a handsome resale value for their old smartphone while buying a new iPhone 5C or iPhone 5S. The old smartphone has to be in working condition and it will be evaluated by professional evaluators. Under this scheme, one can expect to get a maximum of Rs5000 discount on the plastic-based iPhone 5C.

The company is also offering EMI deal to purchase these much desired smartphones. One can get the 16 GB model of iPhone 5C by paying an initial down payment of Rs 9,990 and the rest amount can be paid in small bits of Rs 3150 spread over 9 months. Similarly, for a 32 GB model, you need to pay Rs21,590 upfront. If you use a Standard Chartered credit card you will also get Rs1500 additional cash-back.

For its premium smartphone iPhone 5S, you can get any memory size variant by using the EMI scheme. Simply pay Rs 9,990 for 16GB model, Rs18,990 for 32GB memory model and Rs 27,990for 64GB variant. For clearing the rest of the due, you can use Rs 5,100 monthly installment spread over nine months.

In the past other companies like Samsung have also used such schemes to boost their sales. Lets see if this works for Apple.
