Moto G to launch for about Rs 10,000 in last week of January in India

Motorola is all set to make a comeback in the Indian market with the launch of the Moto G which has value for money written all over it. It will be launched in the last week of January and will come for about Rs 10,000-12,000 which will make it way better than the competition.

New Delhi: Motorola has been largely out from the India since its acquisition by the search engine giant Google. For the past couple of months, there was speculation that the company will reenter the market with its new Moto-G smartphone. This seems the end of wait now. Initially it may be rolled out in the selected cities only. Here are the key specifications and features of the smartphone-

The company has given no details about its India specific price. Its US price converted in Indian currency is about Rs 11,000-12,000. The actual price of Moto G may be even less than this due to high competition here.Currently Motorola has no sales office in India and it has been learned that an unknown distributor has been appointed to handle the launch and after sales operations of Moto G in the country. Since the company has been absent from the market for almost two years now, the comeback may not be an easy one. It needs to pull really big rabbits out of its hats. However, Google’s reputation and brand name may be of great help. For a long term plan, it needs to invest in building its own sales and service network all over the country for launching further smartphone devices.
