CBSE to Provide Bunch Of Formulae in Class X and XII Board Question Papers

Deriving a formula and memorizing such big formulae is always a hectic thing for the students during the examination. CBSE now has come up with a solution to it, they will be providing formulae in the question paper to make it more application based.

New Delhi: A good news to start these new year for the students who are appearing for the Class 10th and Class 12th CBSE board examination in the year 2014 and so on. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to implement a plan in their board’s question paper. The plan is that they are going to embed the formula sheets in the question paper for the board exam.

The main objective behind the step from the CBSE board is to make the the question paper more application based and interactive one instead of making it a memory testing machine. They are going to take off this routine learning of the student and make it highly skilled and application based. Already last year the board has introduced an open-text based assesment for class IX and XI in the curricular as part. This year onwards this is will be extended to class X and Class XII also.

According to the report, a Subject committees has already set up which is consisting of 3-4 members who will be preparing the innovative question papers where these very formulae will be added. Unlike old trend of deriving the long formula, the question paper will be of application based calculations.

A senior officer from CBSE said that they are going to provide whole bunch of formula in the question paper and all that the student will be doing is identifying the correct formula to solve a particular problem. Only a couple of months left for the examination, so students gear up your preparation with the new implementation.
