Lexus teases LF-NX Midsized cross-over - Rival for Audi’s Q5 and BMW X3 to be launched at Frankfurt

Audi has made its mark in the global luxury car market by launching the grand new Q5 and started the trend of midsized cross-overs. The Japanese luxury car making giant Lexus has decided to try its luck with the new segment. Lexus is known for its creative and trendy models and this time, the manufacturer has made no mistake either.

A teaser image of yet unrevealed model was shared over web by Lexus about which no detail was revealed. The basic design of the model seemed somewhat weird but trendy and attractive. The size of the model was almost similar to that of Audi’s Q5 but outer design of the model looks like alien ware that we’ve been dreaming about. To the surprise of all, Lexus has now unveiled some more snaps of the model and has declared that these images are of upcoming midsized cross-over, the new LF-NX.

LF-NX is a hybrid vehicle with high performance engine especially made for availing a unique experience for the customer. We may expect the cross-over to be powered with a 3.5 liter V6 engine or most probably, we may expect a 2.5 liter V6 engine that has powered the Lexus GS earlier. The 2.5 liter engine is capable of generating around 156 horsepower at the peak which may not be enough to drag the heavy vehicle and thus an additional electric motor will be equipped under the hood which adds 44 horsepower more to the engine that makes a perfect performance cross-over.

Apart from the unique exterior styling of the vehicle, the interior too will mesmerize most of the car lovers for sure. As per the information, LF-NX comes with touch pad remote and touchpad interface design which adds beauty to the alien ware like center console. The front grille is absolutely huge with larger air vents on the front. The wheels come with stylish aluminum plates and on a whole the vehicle can be described as highly aggressive. Front fascia gets independent LED stuffed day time running lights and the rear end gets the same kind of taillights.

It is informed that Lexus is going to unveil the model officially at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show and it is going to tackle with Audi’s Q5, Mercedes GLK and BMW X3.
